I had been getting up when an arm snaked itself around my waist. And in which time I went into complete panic and ninja mode in a split second. Where had I developed a swift elbow to the ribcage? You learn these things when you have a child and your instincts are on an all-time high.

“Ow! Ameerah, it’s only me,” Zayn’s voice rang out in a huff as he let go of me and went to hug his bruise. People turned their heads to us, and I quickly lowered my arm and my hand went to cover his at his side to actually look like I knew him.

“I’m so sorry! You big bafoon, what made you think it was a good idea to scare the living shit, out of me?”
